Training Module 3 “Intangible assets management and intellectual property rights”

The series of three training measures of the UNI4INNO project had finalised with it´s last Training module held at the Aerospace National University in Kharkov from 6th to 9th of September 2011. This series of training aimed at enhancing the skills and managerial capacities of the partner country University staff and provide hands-on knowledge enabling them to:

  • Create awareness and promote of research and innovation among university staff and students.
  • Support the implementation of research an innovation projects, detect and valorize research results.
  • Facilitate participation in international projects, establishing contacts with industry, advising and consulting on project acquisition and management.

The methodology of the trainings was interactive and participative, containing abundant case studies and practical group exercises.

The learning contents of the third training module included:

 

  • Determination of the value of research results (commercial opportunities)
  • Basic principles of IP Management in Universities (rules on ownership and disclosures, use of non-disclosure agreements, patenting and publishing of research results, etc.)
  • Integration of IP thinking and strategies into research and extension processes and projects
  • Technology vigilance and state of the art research

The content was relevant for broader audiences; therefore, it was opened for participation of researchers, staff and students of Khai.
